Jay-Z can do and get pretty much whatever he wants, so it came as no surprise to hear that he was curating the two-day Budweiser Made In America music festival. The festival will take place over labor day weekend in Philadelphia, our nation's first capital. However, even despite the patriotic tone of the event, Hova did have one very surprising guest in mind: our nation's president Barack Obama.
When jokingly asked if President Obama would make an appearance, Jay-Z replied with trademark swagger. "[Laughs] Ah, yeah, that guy. I'm gonna try. I'm gonna tell you guys right now: I'm gonna give him a call and I'm gonna try to get him to perform ? do a little rendition of Al Green ? but I doubt it," Rolling Stone reports.
"I think that opens up the political season," he continued. "He'll be so far into helping the world that he probably won't have time, but I'm absolutely going to ask him.
Well, here's to hoping we get another musical surprise from our incumbent president.
