College Coach Freak Outs: Nick Saban, Mike Gundy, Will Muschamp And Augie Garrido Rant (VIDEO)

When it comes to using profanity, college coaches tend to take more after George Carlin than George Washington, who believed that "The foolish and wicked practice of profane cursing and swearing is a vice so mean and low that every person of sense and character detests and despises it."

Clearly, Washington never tried to coach football in the SEC, basketball in the Big 10 or baseball in the Big 12.

Whether it's an attempt to exhort players to victory, address a mistake or merely to explain to reporters that he is a MAN, it seems that freak outs are as much a part of being a college coach as practice and recruiting violations. To the chagrin of television censors (and the delight of just about everyone else) hese epic meltdowns tend to include at least one of Carlin's "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television." When profanity won't suffice to express a coach's emotions then, occasionally, a chair is thrown.

From Nick Saban and Mike Gundy to Augie Garrido and Bobby Knight, here are some of the most memorable coaching rants and explosions of all time, meaning it's earmuffs time for "every person of sense and character out there."
