It?s only been two months since wide-receiver-turned-hoofer Donald Driver claimed the coveted mirror ball trophy on ?Dancing With the Stars,? bringing a glittering end to the last season of the ballroom bash. But even though it hasn?t been a big wait, the anticipation for the upcoming season has been huge.

That?s because season 15 isn?t just another round of the same old show. It?s ?Dancing?s? long-awaited all-star season -- the one fans have hoping for and speculating about for ages.

Now that speculation is over. On Friday the returning competitors were revealed.

The ballroom alums soon set to take the dance floor again are:

• Shawn Johnson
• Bristol Palin
• Pamela Anderson
• Apolo Anton Ohno
• Joey Fatone
• Kelly Monaco
• Gilles Marini
• Emmitt Smith
• Drew Lachey
• Kirstie Alley
• Helio Castroneves
• Melissa Rycroft

But that?s not all! While those 12 celebs make up most of the official all-star cast, there?s one more returning soft shoe set to join them. Who?ll take spot No. 13? That?s up to ballroom fans. In a first-of-its-type twist for the show, ?Dancing? viewers are being asked to vote for the past participate of their choosing to fill the final spot. The choices include Sabrina Bryan, Carson Kressley or Kyle Massey.

Details on that twist are still to come on the official ?Dancing With the Stars? website.

Though partners have not yet been announced, executive producer Conrad Green told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Friday that the pros will be revealed on Aug. 13. But don't expect that all the stars will get the same pro they had before.

"Obviously, when you look at the stars that are coming back, it's impossible for everybody to have the same partner, so we're currently working that out," Green said. "We're trying to pair people based upon what we think is going to make the most intriguing season and make a brilliant season."

Green also explained how the producers chose this particular group to do "All Stars." "We took the view we wanted to do the best of the best. We wanted to represent many different seasons," he said. "For us, this is almost our version of 'The Avengers.' These were the superheroes of their particular seasons, and they're back."?

Though the cast will be familiar, don't expect the show to be exactly the same. Green teased that there will be some tweaks to the ballroom bash this season. For starters, he noted that the judges will likely have to be recalibrated a bit, "otherwise, we'll be starting with 9s and 10s right out of the box." He also hinted that the show might introduce a few new things to update the competition.

The season premieres Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC. And for those of you who can't wait to see at least one these returning hopefuls on your small screen, keep your eye out for Shawn at the Olympics, where she's acting as TODAY.com's special correspondent.?

Consider the amount of sunlight that hits different areas on your property before deciding what to plant there. Some plants need full sunlight while others thrive in shade. If you plant the incorrect varieties in the wrong areas, you are setting yourself up for failure. Talk to a professional at your local nursery to determine which plants will do best in different lighting conditions.

Utilize xeriscape in your yard. This means that the plants which require the most water are closer together, nearer to the house. Plants which require less water will further out, need less frequent watering. The plants near the house will maintain their moisture better, while their evaporation will make that area a little cooler in the summer.

A great way to determine which plants you want to include in your landscaping is to visit a gardening center. This will allow you to view a variety of plant life so that you can determine which plants best fit your style. Visit your local gardening center to help you make your landscaping as beautiful as possible.

If you plan to incorporate flowers into your landscaping plans, you might want to consider layering them. If you plant them so that the tallest are in the back, and the smallest in the front you allow for all flowers to be easily visible from the primary view. If you face the largest to the north, you are also allowing for optimal growth.

Billie Joe Armstrong joins NBC's 'Voice' as mentor

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? NBC's "The Voice" is adding a high-powered rocker to the mix.

NBC said Thursday that Green Day vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong has joined the talent contest as a mentor to Christina Aguilera's team this coming season.

In a statement, Armstrong said he and his family are fans of the show.

"The Voice" has won over viewers because "it's not molding artists, it's just giving them a little bit of guidance and direction without giving them a complete makeover," he said.

Besides, Armstrong says, working with Aguilera is "a lot of fun." He started taping Wednesday on "The Voice," which has been in production for season three since June.

As the talent contest field grows more crowded, shows are competing for big-name music stars. "American Idol" is adding Mariah Carey as a judge, and "The X Factor" signed Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

"The Voice" returns Sept. 10.

That's good timing for Green Day: The band has three albums coming out in quick succession, with the first, "Uno!", to be released Sept. 25.

In addition to Aguilera, the show's coaches include Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Carson Daly is the host.

PORTLAND, Oregon (AP) -Aston Villa defeated the Portland Timbers in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw in Tuesday's friendly.

After both teams successfully converted their first four spot kicks, Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan stopped Bright Dike's penalty.

That set up a chance to win for Samir Carruthers, who put his shot into the top left corner.

The game had ended square after the Timbers came alive in the final 15 minutes.

Aston Villa controlled the first half, getting a goal in the 41st minute off a header from Ciaran Clark and having another disallowed when Stephen Ireland was called offside.

Portland's Sebastian Rincon scored off a corner from Franck Songo'o to tie the score at 1-1 in the 76th minute.

Just a few minutes later, Matthew Lowton scored for Aston Villa by heading in a corner.

However, Rodney Wallace drilled a left-footed goal from the top of the box in the 81st minute to tie it up again for Portland and send the game to penalties.

The Timbers have been a dramatically different team at raucous Jeld-Wen Field, where they are 5-2-3 this season, than on the road, where they are 0-2-8.

Aston Villa was completing a three-game preseason tour of America, having defeated the Philadelphia Union 1-0 on July 18 and the Chicago Fire 1-0 on Saturday.

Aston Villa will look to rebound from a disappointing 16th-place Premier League finish last year when it kicks off the season Aug. 18 against West Ham.

In many cases, their neighbors, friends and family needn?t even know of their financial difficulties.

In almost all distressed sales, the bank can legally go after the seller for the difference between the loan amount and the selling price (known as a deficiency judgment). Most banks will release the seller from this obligation in a short sale process.

Once a short sale is completed, the sellers begin to clean-up their credit report. The timeline can be much longer as a foreclosure proceeds through the process.

Larry Miller returned to Nike Inc. last week after five years of deep immersion in the culture, methods, and strategic thinking of the National Basketball Association. So what does that experience bring to Nike?

Miller answered that question himself when he sat with the Portland Business Journal on July 13, his last full-day as president of the Portland Trail Blazers before returning to Nike to lead the Jordan Brand.

In this week?s print edition I wrote about Miller?s plan to grow the Jordan business, which is already the most dominant basketball brand in the U.S.

But he also addressed how his deep ties to the NBA could benefit Nike upon his return.

?Relationships, for one,? Miller said.

Blazers owner Paul Allen appointed Miller his proxy at the league Board of Governors meetings, making Miller the only non-owner at the table during critical periods, including last year?s contentious labor negotiations.

?I knew (NBA Commissioner) David Stern and (Deputy Commissioner) Adam Silver and folks at the league, but the relationships are much much stronger (now) because I?ve worked with them, I?ve gone through the trenches and the labor deal,? Miller said. ?And also, I know a lot more now about how the NBA works and how they think and operate, so I think there?s benefit with that in going back to Nike, as looking at working with them, so my perspectives will be a benefit because I understand how they do things and how they operate.?
